Rubin Observatory First Stone: 10 year anniversary
On 14 April 2015, we formally kicked off construction of NSF–DOE Rubin Observatory with a ceremonial First Stone event. Now, ten years later and thanks to over a decade of hard work by thousands of people, Rubin is just months away from unveiling first images to the world! Once online later this year, Rubin will #CaptureTheCosmos for a decade and generate the greatest cosmic movie ever made. It will be jointly operated by NSF NOIRLab and DOE's SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory
